OUR STORY
When veteran television producers Steve Barry and Joe Braswell founded Kelchris in 2014, it was around three core principals – innovate, cultivate and entertain. Extensive individual production experience and relationships at NBC Universal, ABC, Warner Bros, E!, History Channel, ESPN and MTV laid the groundwork for them to come together and form a new vision in creative. Today, Kelchris is a fully diversified production company, with a varied slate of original projects and a specialization in non-scripted storytelling.

STEVE BARRY
Steve was born and raised in London. After graduating with a broadcast journalism degree from University of South Florida, Steve began his career In broadcast news and creative services for CBS and FOX powerhouse stations such as Chicago’s WBBM-TV, Atlanta’s WAGA-TV and Miami’s WSVN-TV. Switching to entertainment, Steve relocated to Los Angeles to be a producer for nationally syndicated entertainment magazine show EXTRA. Since then, he has produced for ABC, E!, VH1, Endemol and Den of Thieves. He produced seasons of TBS’ Ripley’s Believe It Or Not and Oxygen’s Girls Behaving Badly working with Chelsea Handler early in her career. While acting as a key player behind the launch of MTV’s dating reality show Parental Control, Steve also worked with Universal Pictures to launch several cross-platform campaigns. For six years until her untimely death, Steve worked closely with comedy legend Joan Rivers as Co- Executive Producer behind the now iconic hit series Fashion Police. That role earned him NBC Universal and Comcast’s Innovative Producer of the Year award. In the last several years, Steve has worked with Steve Harvey as Executive Producer/Showrunner of BET’s Mancave. He also returned to E! as Executive Producer/Showrunner of LadyGang. Most recently, Steve was working with comedian Lil Rel Howery as Executive Producer/Showrunner of game show Small Fortune on NBC. Currently, Steve is Executive Producer/Showrunner of The 12th Annual Streamy Awards, airing live on YouTube on December 4th.
JOE BRASWELL
With a father working in the music industry for Marvin Gaye and Nancy Wilson, Joe grew up in Los Angeles during the heyday of 1970’s soul music. After graduating with a broadcasting degree and starting a successful career producing radio – both talk and commercial, Joe made the transition to television news, producing for various stations in Los Angeles and then for King World’s long running syndication juggernaut Inside Edition. From there, rival entertainment show EXTRA poached Joe to produce and utilize his extensive Hollywood industry booking contacts to expand their pop culture division. EXTRA is also where he met Steve. In recent years, Joe has expanded his work in the digital arena, while continuing to work in broadcast and cable television including directing several mini- documentaries for ESPN’s Grantland. In the last several years, Joe has worked as Executive Producer of History Channel’s documentary special 50 Years of Star Trek. He has also worked with Steve Harvey as Executive Producer/Showrunner of BET’s Mancave and as Executive Producer/Showrunner of LadyGang on E! Most recently, Joe was working with comedian Lil Rel Howery as Executive Producer/Showrunner of game show Small Fortune on NBC. Currently, Steve is Executive Producer/Showrunner of The 12th Annual Streamy Awards, airing live on YouTube on December 4th.
